Edwin P. Baldry, Managing Director
Mr. Baldry co-founded the Institutional Cash Distributors (ICD) in April of 2003. He has been responsible for the sales and relationship management of institutional money fund clients on the Eastern seaboard and the South. Ed has most recently spear headed ICD's expansion in the UK and is splitting his time between our London office and the US.
Prior to ICD, Mr. Baldry served as Director of the Institutional Money Fund business at Deutsche Bank/Scudder from 1997. Over $13 Billion was raised under his leadership. His previous position was as Vice President and National Sales Director for BISYS Investment Services where he worked exclusively with institutional cash investors. Mr. Baldry has also held various service and account management positions with other organizations, including operations specialist at Kidder, Peabody & Company. He has worked and lived in many major U.S. financial centers including Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco representing over 500 corporations and their cash investment needs.
Mr. Baldry earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State and is an active member of the Association of Financial Professionals and the Treasury Management Association of New England. He resides in Cohasset, MA with his wife and two sons, and in his free time he enjoys golf and tennis.
Jeffrey C. Jellison, Managing Director
A co-founder of ICD, Mr. Jellison was the first on board in April 2003. He is responsible for Sales and relationship management in the Southwest and Southern California focusing on large institutions with short term cash needs.
Mr. Jellison has spent the past 10 years providing short term cash solutions to the institutional market place, primarily corporate cash. Prior to ICD, Mr. Jellison was head of Capital Market sales with JP Morgan and Company. In this role, Mr. Jellison worked with many of the largest banks in the country promoting JP Morgan products and services. Before joining JP Morgan, Mr. Jellison spent nearly five years with a successful financial start-up - Mid Atlantic Institutional Shares. He was a partner at Mid Atlantic (recently acquired by Sungard) and helped form the money fund distribution strategy that led to over $10 billion in assets. Mr. Jellison began his career in finance in 1993 with Concord Financial. Concord went public in 1994 and was later purchased by BISYS Investment services, where Mr. Jellison helped set up the first multiple distribution strategy.
In his spare time Mr. Jellison enjoys playing golf, beach volleyball and spending time with his family. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University and is active with the Association of Finance Professionals. Mr. Jellison resides with his wife and three children in Manhattan Beach, CA.
Thomas P. Newton, Managing Director
Mr. Newton co-founded ICD after working at Deutsche Asset Management, where he served as head of sales and relationship management for the West Coast and Rocky Mountain regions.
Mr. Newton developed over $5 billion in assets at Scudder Investments' Institutional Cash Product group prior to its acquisition by Deutsche Bank. He brings over 14 years of financial expertise to ICD, particularly extensive experience in institutional mutual fund and separate account management sales. Mr. Newton has also held senior executive sales positions at Mitchell Hutchins Investors, Mid Atlantic, Cantor Fitzgerald, BISYS Fund Services, and Concord Financial Group.
Mr. Newton holds his Bachelor of Arts Degree from San Diego State University and resides in the San Francisco bay area. He is a Series 24 licensed principal and active in the San Francisco Treasury Management Association and the Association of Finance Professionals. Mr. Newton is an avid golfer who enjoys spending free time with his family.
Mason J. Martin, Director of ICD Operations
Mr. Martin joined ICD in April of 2003. Prior to joining, he managed the money fund trade desk at Zurich Scudder Investments in Chicago and assisted in a sales effort generating over $10 Billion in assets. He was with Zurich Scudder from December of 1995 to October 2002, where he held various sales and client services positions. Mr. Martin carries Series 7 and Series 24 licences.
Mr. Martin received his BA in Political Science and Speech Communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a minor in Finance. In his spare time, Mason enjoys staying active including volleyball, softball, tennis and is an advanced scuba diver. While in Chicago, he volunteered at a homeless shelter food program.
Thomas Knight, Senior Vice President of Business Development and Treasurer
Mr. Knight has over 18 years of corporate treasury management experience, joining ICD in August 2006 from Credence Systems Corporation, where he served as vice president and treasurer. In that capacity, he was responsible for worldwide treasury and travel functions and oversaw operations of the Credence Capital Corporation, the financing arm of the firm. Prior to Credence, he was treasurer at BEA Systems, Inc., where he managed global assets of over $1.5 billion. Mr. Knight has also held the treasurer position at E-Loan, Inc. and SiteSmith, Inc., a privately held technology start-up. Prior to those roles, Mr. Knight was the assistant treasurer at PeopleSoft, where he was the business leader for the PeopleSoft Treasury Product Strategy and Development teams in addition to his traditional treasury role. He has also held various treasury roles at the Swig Co., Charles Schwab and Chevron.
Mr. Knight holds a BS in business administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He also holds a permanent cash manager certification from the Association of Financial Professionals and has been a member of Tech 20 treasurer’s group, comprised of treasurers from the largest U.S.-based global technology companies.
Mr. Knight and his wife Michele reside in San Ramon, where they spend most of their time with two sons and three daughters. In his spare time, Mr. Knight enjoys playing beach volleyball, basketball and golf.
Kent S. Petty, Director of Business Development
Mr. Kent Petty joined ICD as Director of Business Develpment in July 2007. Kent has over 11 years of experience distributing institutional financial products within multi-channel environments including banks, corporations, and registered investment advisors. Mr. Petty has most recently worked for Coronado Capital Advisors, and is active on their advisory board. Mr. Petty has also worked for the Morgan Guarantee Trust Company, JP Morgan, in their bank liquidity group, Neuberger Berman, and Manulife John Hancock. Mr. Petty has extensive experience and relationships in the southern US, having covered this geography his entire career.
Mr. Petty received a degree in Economics from Texas A&M and an MBA from the University of Denver , Daniels College of Business. In his spare time Mr. Petty enjoys fishing and outdoor activities with his family. Mr. Petty resides in Dallas, Texas with his wife and two children.
John Geary, Vice President Mr. Geary joined ICD in October of 2004. He is responsible for treasury liquidity needs in the Midwest and Eastern Seaboard. He comes to ICD with over 7 years of experience in the institutional marketplace. Prior to ICD, Mr. Geary was a regional representative for BlackRock Investments, responsible for a territory covering many of the major markets. Based in Chicago, his primary focus was the Midwest. During his tenure with BlackRock, Mr. Geary promoted the BlackRock Liquidity Funds and separate account capabilities. Before BlackRock, Mr. Geary worked on the institutional trading desk with Deutsche Bank/Scudder Investments in Chicago assisting in a sales effort that produced in excess of $10 billion in assets. Mr. Geary started his career in Boston with Zurich Scudder Investments selling and servicing the full scope of the Scudder Funds. Mr. Ramos earned his BA in Political Science at Vanderbilt University and carries a Series 7 license. His hobbies include skiing, reading, music, cooking, and politics. Sebastian is located in our San Francisco office. Christina Dabalos, Associate Christina joined ICD in May of 2006 as a trading associate. She currently supports senior management, sales efforts and is an integral part of the marketing committee. Prior to ICD she worked for a member of Congress where she was responsible for case management and field representation. Alison Cheung, Associate
Ms. Dabalos attended the University of San Francisco where she studied Political Science, Legal Studies and Classic and Modern Literature. Ms Dabalos carries a Series 7 license. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling and volunteering. Christina is located in our San Francisco office.
Ally joined ICD in November of 2006 and is responsible for trading. She was most recently at Citigroup - Smith Barney where she was a sales assistant in the Global Wealth Management division. Prior to joining Citigroup, Ms. Cheung was in the software industry working for mostly startup firms.
Ms. Cheung earned her undergraduate degree at University of California, Berkeley. She enjoys cooking during her free time. Ally is located in our San Francisco office.
John Bennie, Director, ICD Europe
Mr John Bennie joined ICD in December 2005. He is responsible for Sales and Relationship Management of institutional money fund clients in Europe and the Middle East.
Mr Bennie joined ICD from Standard Life Investments where he was Investment Director Money Market Funds. John joined Standard Life Investments in 1998 as a Fund Manager managing short term liquidity funds, he moved internally in 2000 to launch the Standard Life Investment Liquidity Funds. Prior to Standard Life Investments John worked at Citibank and held Corporate Development Positions with Hyatt Hotels and Nitto World.
Mr Bennie holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Edinburgh University. He resides in London with his wife and daughter, an in his free time he enjoys golf and rugby.
Magdalena Gogola, Head of Cash Trading, ICD Europe
Magda joined ICD in April 2006 and manages European Trading. Prior to ICD, Magdalena was a Quality Management System Specialist for a government organisation in Bogatynia (Poland).
Miss Gogola graduated with an Honours Degree in Management and Production Engineering. Magdalena carries with her an FSA-Authorised Person Status. She enjoys going to the gym, reading, and cooking. Magda is located in our London office.
Rosie Sowerby, Senior Associate, ICD Europe
Rosie joined ICD in December of 2006 and responsible for trading. Prior to ICD she assisted the Lettings Department of a Nationwide Estate Agency.
Ms. Sowerby earned her degree from West Kent College and also carries with her an FSA-Authorised Person Status. She enjoys spending time socialising with her friends, skiing and traveling. Rosie is located in our London office.
Oxana Brigden, Associate, ICD Europe
Oxana Bridgen joined ICD in November 2007 and is responsible for administrative support. Prior to ICD she was working in the hospitality industry.
Mrs. Bridgen earned her Management and Governmental Administration degree from Chelyabinsk State University, Russia. She enjoys reading, visiting classical ballet and yoga classes. Oxana is located in our London office.
